The antifreeze refractometer can be used for measuring the freezing point of glycol, antifreeze, coolant and battery Acid. It can also be used for checking the condition of electrolyte solution batteries.

    An inexpensive refractometer that works surprising well and seems to be quite accurate. Worked great on DEF fluid and a battery test.

    It worked very well. Good instructions that are easy to follow. Good carrying case with accessories. Very please. Tested both the battery acid and anti freeze on several vehicles with out any difficulties.

    I like this unit so much, I purchased another for my business. I use it to check a 36 battery, 48 volt solar battery bank. Its used quarterly and does a fine job. Fast, easy to use and accurate, allowing me to get an accurate cell by cell health check on the entire bank. You can spend hundreds more on a similar unit, but I think you'd be wasting your money. There are no batteries required to operate the unit, so you don't have to worry about always feeding it batteries to operate.

    Received the product the other day, It has a decent fit and finishes quality and craftsmanship. It should serve very well for many years. Just check to calibration right out of the box and it was spot on. Very clear eyepiece and the scale is very clear and crisp.

    This refractometer works just as well as the high priced units. Zero it (adjust the zero reading with the adjustment screw) when you first receive it, clean it after each use, follow the simple instructions, etc. and it will serve you well. It may take a bit of trial and error getting used to it, but the effort is worth it. All in all, it's a very nice product.

Like that it has a scale for both ethylene and propylene glycol as I have a number or different coolants to check. Easy to use. Comes with everything you need stored in a nice little case.
