This gimbal is very good! It doesn't feel cheap. User friendly, and easy to calibrate compared to older gimbals. I like that you can control it from the app too. The gimbal it self has great features. with the app on the phone you are able to do time lapse video with real cinematic quality. You can even control the gimbal with the phone to get super smooth panning shots. I would recommend this for the price!

This is my first dive into gimbals and it's been an easy one to pick up. Build quality seems good, most things are aluminum on the gimbal with a nice rubberized coating for your hand. Carrying case for the gimbal has room to keep your camera (at least my GoPro) attached, which is a nice touch. It works great right out of the box with almost no set up time. Attach camera and turn it on and start waiving your arms around to watch it work. If you want more options, the app works great and I have used it to set up some sweeping time lapse videos. Would definitely recommend.

I recently received a GoPro for my birthday & I wanted to buy a stabilizer for it. It came down to me picking between this Hohem stabilizer & Feiyutech’s stabilizer. I looked up reviews & watched YouTube videos of comparisons & I eventually decided on buying the Hohem stabilizer. I absolutely love this thing! Out of the box it comes with a durable case, the stabilizer (which was charged at 75%), a few chargers, as well as the tripod mount. The material seems to be pretty durable to me as well. I have yet to use the app but the YouTube videos that I watched make it seem pretty easy to use. Can’t wait to use this baby at it’s full potential! This was such a great buy for a great price, would recommend for anyone trying to buy a stabilizer for their action camera.

When I bought my GoPro Hero 7 I was excited to use it to be able to use the hyperstabilization to get video smooth enough to post on my YouTube channel. And though the built-in stabilization is good and it helps a whole lot, it's not the buttery smooth capture you get with a gimbal. So now I pair it with this Hohem 3axis Gimbal Stabilizer and I couldn't be happier. This gimbal is easy to use, has lots of features found on much more expensive dslr gimbals and works great out of the box... not calibration needed. I love it and can't imagine using my GoPro for capturing B-roll without it. You can't attach the mic and use it like you can some of the other cages you can buy to vlog with your GoPro, but if I'm doing that I don't use the gimbal, simple as that. Use the right tool for the right job and this is the right tool if you want smoooooth video. And the price is incredible!

This review is for the Hohem Gimbal for action cameras. I have been testing this gimbal for almost two weeks. I have had no issues with it thus far. It stabilizes my action cameras very good (Gopro 3 and Akaso EK7000) and makes them suitable for making walking/hiking/selfie videos. Unlike using a head mount, having a hand held camera allows one to include themselves in their videos and also to point the camera in any direction, even behind them. The gimbal has a mini usb out port that can be used to charge the camera while making videos. It also has a usb out port in the handle that can be used to charge a cell phone or action camera. It has an internal battery that has a long run time. I love it! I will be using it often.

My current conclusions are that I'm going to have a great time on my travels with this gimbal, and I didn't have to break the bank. The construction is pretty solid. The pieces appear to be well-integrated high density plastics with a nice, soft but grippy, hand grip. Everything operates really well! If you download the app, you have the ability to control everything on the gimbal, including the speeds at which it pans when you use the controls on the gimbal itself. The only thing that I would say could be better is that for the operational modes, you basically have to memorize what the modes mean. There is a little guide on the gimbal itself that lists out the modes (PF, PTF, AL, AF... along with how many clicks you need to make to get to the mode), but it is still confusing. Granted, this is day 1 for me, and I may find that it becomes easier after I study the included instructional guide some more.

I have a GoPro style camera and by itself it's not easy to use unless it's attached to something (by design more or less). In this case the something is a Hohem 3 axis Gimbal. I wanted something that would be cost effective and yet serve the purpose of a gimbal and this one delivers the goods. Easy to use for a first-timer, and seems to work great so far. I only skimmed the directions and found that enough to get it charged, powered up, set-up and attached to my camera. I like how easy it is to use and that it's not encumbered by a lot of extra settings. My first videos with it were very smooth and I even tried to "trick" it by moving quickly in different directions just to see how it would respond. Happily it worked great no matter what I threw at it. This was a good purchase and happy to add it to my arsenal of camera equipment.
