Simple tool for black screen troubleshooting. LED strips fail often, but diagnosis can be difficult without complete disassembly. This power supply can test the backlight assy and each strip or bank easily. If backlight is bad, then it's time to tear into the set. If not, chances are you'll get off lucky and one of the primary PC boards are bad. Automatically adjusts voltage and current for the load under test - nearly foolproof.

I needed this to test the LED strips on our TV backlight LED's. One, or more, strips had failed, but I needed to know which ones. This helped me diagnose the failed LED strip, and it saved me a ton of money by not having to buy a whole new TV. This is really easy to use; just plug it into the wall, wait about 5 seconds to fully power up. Then, diagnose whatever you need to. This saved me a ton of money, and allowed me to figure out the failed LED strip in under 5 minutes. I recommend this 100%.

I needed this to test the LED strips on our TV backlight LED's. One, or more, strips had failed, but I needed to know which ones. This helped me diagnose the failed LED strip, and it saved me a ton of money by not having to buy a whole new TV. This is really easy to use; just plug it into the wall, wait about 5 seconds to fully power up. Then, diagnose whatever you need to. This saved me a ton of money, and allowed me to figure out the failed LED strip in under 5 minutes. I recommend this 100%.

My TV was flickering like crazy and we were gonna throw it out. Then after doing some research, my husband figured out he could fix it and ordered this product. It was a bit hard to figure out at first but in the end he got it. TV is fixed and works perfectly again! I would recommend this.

The tester is excellent. Because it is constant current instead of constant voltage, it doesn't blow up the LEDs that I'm testing, like testing with a constant voltage power supply will do. The unit itself is compact and sturdy, the cables/probes are very good, and the built-in voltmeter is great for diagnosing bad LEDs or LED strips that have a bad LED in them. Highly recommended! A+++

Purchased this to test the LED's in my broken TV and it worked. I was surprised to see how many were not working, and I was able to test the new set and all of them worked. This is tool is inexpensive and it works for what it was made for.
