All I can say is Dang!!!! This baby makes metal detecting much easier. I have had my Garrett metal detector for years, and have spent a lot of time digging in holes and sometimes not finding the prize even though the detector continues to beep. Today my son and I tried the Pin Pointer for the first time. We found the coins shown in the photo below in about fifteen minutes in our park. In the grass area with little to no digging. When the metal detector beeped, I used the pin pointer and a coin probe that I also purchased and the coin was right where the pin pointer showed it to be. I will never go out to metal detect without this again. Time saved and more loot!

This is a quality pinpointer. I've had several others, but I believe this one to be the best. It will take a few minutes to get how to set the sensitivity. For actual pinpointing use the lowest setting. It also has a feature Garret should advertise more about it, and that's that you can discriminate out hot rocks etc. Very cool feature! Putting it on high sensitivity will actually give you some depth into the ground if it's all you have. Pinpointers are meant to be used AFTER finding a target with your metal detector. I've read some funny reviews by people who don't really seem to know what they're for. It will save you alot of digging time. There are many pinpointers out there for just a few dollars and they do work! But, they won't be water proof and they won't last. This is well made and durable. Dig it!!

Used this on the beach with a Garret Ace and it accurately located lots of metal treasures from our piles of sand. The different programs are set by just pressing the button until the number and pattern of beeps confirm your setting. I love the stealth mode option. It really does look like a carrot! You can have a lot of fun with this piece of kit. Great for using on people to find their metal plates, fillings etc. Also for finding wires in walls. So many things...

Transforms metal detecting. Saves so much time after you have dug your plug. Highly visible and the vibrate only mode offers stealth. With practice you can "zoom in" by pressing the one button through progressively the 3 sensitivities and lifting from side to tip detection.

Best pinpointer and I have owned quite a few. I also own an older Black version that is still going strong. It does take a bit of getting used to because there are more modes on "the carrot" but by far the best. The best thing is this comes with a 2 year warranty and even when I broke my black pinpointer and I told them it was my fault and would be glad to pay, they said send it back and was repaired no charge. Garrett customer service is great.
