    This product is perfect for me! I love fishing & I mostly catch & release. I'm ok when the fish gets hooked on the lip. easy to get it out without injuring your catch. But when it's all or partly swallowed. that's another story. it's difficult for me to do without causing injury & I wind up making it a meal. This hook remover makes it so much easier to get out that hook. without causing injury... just what I'd prefer! Win. win situation for fish & my conscious. So glad I finally got one. & highly recommend to any angler!

    I ordered this nifty little fish hook remover tool set for my nephew for Christmas. He is obsessed with fishing. always has been since he was a little boy. Now that he is a teenage he bought himself a small boat to go out and fish with. The older the kids get the harder it is for me to find them gifts they will actually like. I knew anything fishing related would be a win. As soon as he opened the box he seemed pretty happy with this tool. Anyone who has ever fished knows that taking out the hook is most peoples least favorite task when out on the water. This tool makes it so much easier. It fits nicely in your hand and is easy to grip even with wet fingers. You can tell they are quality made products just by handling and working with them. We cant wait for the weather to warm up a bit so he can go out more and enjoy his favorite pastime.

    Works great! Been using the shorter one the past couple weeks with some smallmouth and walleyes through the ice. Really like the lanyard to clip to my bibs and have it handy. Only gripe, and it’s a very minor one, is after getting the hook removed it’s easy to get the hook or line caught up in the device but at least it’s out of the fish.

Only gripe, and it’s a very minor one, is after getting the hook removed it’s easy to get the hook or line caught up in the device but at least it’s out of the fish.

    I purchased these after having an issue removing a swallowed hook in a smallmouth bass I caught. It was a pretty fish and I ended up releasing it minus the line but with the hook intact. I know the hooks are designed to rust out quickly but thought it would be better to have a tool on hand that could remove the hook easily. These tools seem as if they will do the job but I haven't had the opportunity to use them. I will update this review when I do.

    I wish I had these a long time ago I've had fish swallow hooks and have to dig and pull with needle nose pliers that constantly slip off but these grip and give you more control to remove the hook far easier most times since I've been using these.

    simple tool to get hooks that has been swallowed!..my son loves it, now he doesnt feel bad when the hook gets swallowed, he jus uses this tool!
