Useful little device, I have an SD card with photos and other files on it and this docking station reads the card perfectly.

The unit works just fine I have 4 old hard drives plus a lot of memory sticks. and USB memory. they all read just fine.

I have bought several disk and card readers in the past and none of them worked very well. They all were slow and very unrealizable. This one was very easy to setup and use. It worked the first time and has not failed so far.

Product arrived on time. The instruction manual was concise and clear, even though I didn't really need it as using this product was intuitive. Really needed it to access an old IDE drive as the enclosure seems to have died. Inserting the IDE drive was easy - had no difficulty aligning the pins. Applied power and the drive was immediately recognized by a laptop running Win.

I replaced a similar device with this one. The previous was connected to my PC for almost 2 years and suddenly stopped working with the HDDs. It continued to work with the SD and USB connectors. This one is essentially the same device with a different label. This presently is working fine and allows me to keep using old SATA and IDE drives as adjuncts to the internal on my PC. Whether this will have limited longevity as did the last remains to be seen but the product is useful and functions as designed.

If you have a newer SSD or SATA drive you will have zero problems with this. However, if you have an older IDE drive and you're trying to recover old data, I would recommend an additional short IDE and power cable. If there are *any* problems with the pins on the HDD, they may be bent even worse and you will have issues when trying to reconnect the drive again. Other than that, this is exactly what I've been looking for in a transfer device to connect old drives and recover data. Is it as fast as connecting via an internal cable? No. But, the ease of being able to treat old drives more or less as USB drives is really convenient. If the box has included a small cable for older IDE drives it would have five stars. With a little fiddling I did get the pins aligned enough to work. But, an extra cable would have been super convenient.
