I ordered this because it was the same kitchen scale my son had when we lived with us, so I knew what I was getting. It's super easy to use - just place a plate or bowl on top, hit "peel" and start adding fruit, meat, pasta, whatever you need to measure. I can buy powdered sugar in bags now and I can weigh out 1 lb as the icing recipe calls for. Don't guess! It is measured in standard or metric. You simply press the button repeatedly until you see the unit you want. It's great for making healthy meals, and it usually provides serving sizes in grams. The battery is also easy to replace, and it shuts itself off after a short period of non-use, so the battery lasts a long time. I use it all the time!

Why have I never had a food scale before? This makes cooking and baking so easy. Forget about measuring, just reset the scale to zero and add ingredients by weight directly to the bowl. The scale is easy to read, use and store. It is measured in grams, ounces, kilograms or pounds. I can't believe how easy it is to bake using this scale without fumbling around measuring spoons and cups and washing them all.

I've used a few different scales, but this one is the easiest to switch between grams and pounds. A switch on top of them allows you to switch between measurements without removing the food, so if you make a mistake, it's no big deal. The proportions are accurate. One downside is that if you have a large plate or a wide bowl to measure, it will block the screen and prevent the weight from being read.

Like most households, we have a certain number of measuring cups and spoons. Most recipes list volume and weight quantities. Anything by weight can be used as a container. The wife said it completely changed the way she cooks. like it. It felt like breaking through the limitations of traditional measurements and opening up new horizons for her.

I appreciate that this item is user-friendly and straightforward to use. However, I have noticed that it is not entirely accurate when weighing food. I have compared it to other packaged items that I have not even opened, and it tends to be off by an ounce or an ounce and a half. While the weight is generally close, I wish it were more precise. This seems to be a case of getting what you pay for, and if you can tolerate slightly imprecise measurements and don't want to spend a lot of money, then this product may suffice.
