CNC 3018-Pro is an upgraded version of CNC 3018, compared to the old model, with an offline offline controller, can be sculpture in the offline state.

Do not need to connect computer. You can download the needed carving files into off-line controller.

Don't need to download any files. The off-line controller can control all actions, can directly do some simple curving, such as punching, curving rectangle shape and so on.

2. Please note MDF is not equal to normal wood, as it doesn’t have a worldwide standard, so you need to test how deep the laser can cut.

Lots of accessories available to expand. Flexible system to do a lot of different cool things. Amazing customer support when I had an issue. Truly world class.

We bought the Genmitsu CNC 3018,PRO for our 9 and 12 year old grandsons to extend what they have learned participating in Lego Robotics. The boys had no trouble assembling the router because the instructions are very similar to what they use with Lego models. After successfully running two test programs. they looked at several YouTube videos and some of the online support like the SainSmart wiki page to learn how to design their own projects. After experiencing several problems with the 9 year old laptop they were trying to use. they switched computers and produced a flawless plaque for their dog. We are more interested about the problem solving strategies than the projects they have produced. but the progress they have been making with projects encouraged us to buy some additional cutting bits. the Offline Controller. and the Blue Laser Module for this machine. This machine is capable of producing high quality products so it is a great tool for kids or adults to learn CNC programming. We think it is a good value.

if you're looking to explore an introductory lesson into CNC machinery, this would be a great start! easy to assemble, simple instructions, all the tools and hardware are accounted for, plus extras. The machine is simple, yet complex enough for you to program with your choice of programs. which in itself is a great lesson as well. even if you're a pro, having this as a small desktop CNC is fun to operate and experiment with. there is a dedicated facebook group and wiki community that can help with any issues you may come across. I had some issues and with their help, got me on my way. There seems to be a miriad of upgrades you cam do yourself if your a maker or tinkerer. for the low cost and high reward, I'd say it'd make a great introductory lesson for novice makers, students and tinkerers.

Really nice CNC. easy to assemble and works really good! I did few quick test drilling some holes to a PCB but it is very precise and you also have manual control.

It is very easy to use. I knew nothing about CNC engraving. but all my questions were answered with online forums. If you want to take a small step into the process the 3018 is the place to start. Great easy to learn on all aspects are covered on the web.

I have just gotten my machine and earlier then stated. I know very little about a CBC router but I did not have any problems putting together. My boyfriend gave it to me more for laser engraving he says a great buy!
