I have a thick pile carpet. I opened it and laid it down in less than a minute. It's nice and flat on the carpet and my chair rolls nice and smooth on it. Chair doesn't sink at all and the mat does not slide with the many studs on the back.If you have a carpet that is thick, BUY IT. You will not be disappointed.

I got the mat because my carpet was being ruined by the roller chair now that I am working from home full time due to the pandemic. This mat arrived when expected.I had tried plastic mats before but I found that my chair sunk into the mat just as much as the carpet and I really couldn't roll around. With this mat, though I am happy to report that the chair doesn't sink at all and rolls around very easily. As stated, I am 280 lbs sitting on a 5 wheel office chair and it doesn't sink into the mat at all. Rolls almost too easily sometimes.

The problem with my carpeted home office is that I have a fairly plush carpet with about a 1/2" pile. This puts a lot of stress on the floor mat as you roll around since the carpet keeps the mat somewhat suspended but the pressure of the weight of the occupied chair at each wheel position is trying to make the mat flex or push down until the pile really supports the localized weight. It is virtually rigid, probably due to the polycarbonate and a thicker material as well. So far the chair and the mat are getting along great.

I purchased this mat, I am very happy I did, I weigh in at 225lbs, plus the weight of the full blown office chair and this mat holds me & the chair with out a single indentation of any kind. Sometimes I forget that I on the mat which is resting on top of carpet and I will allow myself to just plop down on my chair, and as I'm going down, I'm think, oh crap, I hope I don't crack the mat. Not only did it NOT CRACK, THERE IS NO INDICATION AT ALL THAT I JUST DROPPED 225 lbs o the mat w/chair. is the best mat I have ever purchased.

Got it for my dad who was at 260 lbs at the time, he since lost 30lbs. Anyway, it's still compelling in tact. He sits in his chair on that mat at least 16 hrs a day. He loves it because it doesn't give and bend or crack . He rolls easy and swears its the best one he's ever had. We have a medium pile on a decent under mat. There's some give so it's amazing that this gorilla mat works so good considering his weight and length of time on it. I do wish I had gotten a bigger one though cause his only complaint is that he sometimes rolls off the edge.

We needed a sturdy yet flexible mat for the office. It came in a solid box . This mat stays in place, the rug design is almost as clear as without the mat. It has a slight texture which is good in case of slight spills of liquids. It’s not as wide as some but it’s perfect for our area. Yes I would definitely recommend this mat. The thickness as you can see is perfect for our flatter rug.

I was able to immediately put this item into use and it is so good to have a mat upon which my desk chair rolls easily and doesn't became stuck if I roll the chair off the mat and back onto it. From the look and feel of this product, I expect to get several years of fairly heavy use from it. Overall a worthwhile purchase.

Sturdy, even thicker and sturdier than the one I was replacing - Perfect. I'm using it on a medium (?) pile carpet. I've had it about a week but it seems sturdy enough to last a long time, I don't foresee any problems ahead.Overall, I think this is a great, sturdy product with fair pricing and with the added benefit of the laugh when I opened the box. :)

If you're in the market for a chair mat, and you're reading a bunch of reviews, let me save you the time. Buy this one.This mat is half the price of comparable mats. It gets shipped to you quickly in a flat box, which is a huge plus if you've dealt with one showing up rolled up. And I've only had it a few weeks so far, but it still feels brand new and very sturdy. I'll update my review if it ends up cracking or falling apart, but I'd definitely recommend it so far.

A vast improvement, the wheels wouldn't move on my frieze carpet. When the Mat arrived, I placed it on the carpet behind my desk. Then, I put the office chair on the mat and sat down... and went swiftly rolling away. After a brief learning curve, I have mastered the skills needed to stay in place when appropriate and move where I want with ease. If I could make one change to the product, I would make it a couple of inches wider without increasing the price; my desk is quite large.
