    I hold an ordination as a minister, and my wife and I had dreams of traveling in an RV before changed our plans.     I bought this tambourine for my daughter after she fell in love with it during a music class at the library. I recognized the need to get her one of her own. The most crucial aspect for me was its durability, and I'm happy to report that it can certainly take a beating! She's only 19 months old and she tends to be quite rough with her toys, often smashing, tossing, and banging on them. This tambourine, however, has withstood all her enthusiastic attempts to test its limits.

    Unfortunately, the leather used for this tambourine negatively affects its sound quality. It produces a cheap, plastic-like "bonk" sound every time it's struck, even when not hitting the head. When shaken, the jingles create a sound that reverberates off the plastic head, resulting in a cheap and oddly echoing tone.

    The tambourine looks exactly as pictured. It's robust yet lightweight and produces a great sound. It's truly a perfect tambourine! I purchased this for my 17-year-old daughter to use at church, and she not only loves it but also added her own artistic touch by painting a design on it.     This is a remarkably nice tambourine, especially considering its price. The overtones produced by the head give it a delightful sound. It's well-built, as I tested it by striking the head with drumsticks, and it still appears brand new. I'm currently incorporating it into my percussion setup and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

    Initially, I purchased this for my 9-month-old to shake and drum on. However, it turns out my 4-year-old has also taken quite a liking to it. It's been in our possession for a week now and has endured a significant amount of rough handling from my kids. They use it daily for shaking and banging. It's lightweight, and the metal jingles add to the fun. The drumming surface works well, and there's a convenient hole on the side for looping your fingers through or attaching a ribbon to secure it to something. It's a great addition to our collection.

    Regrettably, this tambourine broke the moment I removed it from the package. I'm immensely grateful that I inspected it before handing it over to my toddler. One of the spindles had not been properly secured and promptly fell out. It's unrepairable, unfortunately. This could have been a great item if it weren't for the shoddy production.
