Live in North Dakota where it is cold and wintry for almost 6-7 months out of the year so these are VERY easy to put on and use. I feel comfortable wearing and using them. Would VERY much recommend buying and using them as they help you walk on ice, snow, and sleet!!!! GREAT product!!!!!!!!!!

I have never purchased these before and I wasn’t too sure what to expect. Once I pulled them out to use for my first time it was a no brainer. They were lightweight yet very effective and certainly kept me from certain dangers where I would have been hurt had I not put them on.

These things are the best I bought these to use when walking on ice. This was the first opportunity I had to use them I can’t say enough good things about them they went on easily and I had a great deal of confidence walking up a steep incline which was nothing but ice. They worked so well I was actually amazed. These Cleats are a keeper.

Have not used these yet but they seem durable and well constructed. Sizing was confusing for boots or athletic shoes. I went with the XL for size 12 and they fit both the shoes and the boots.. Shopped a bit for these. Some are cheaper and they break easily. Others are quite a bit more expensive. Happy with this purchase.

I've bought seven pairs for myself and family members. and we all love them! I use the models with a strap over the top. as well as without that strap; both styles perform equally well. They are easy to put on. do not slip off during use. and provide great stability on snowy. icy surfaces. While walking. I feel as secure and confident as walking in shoes on dry ground. I do have one caveat to offer. however. as far as icy surfaces go. If the ice is textured unevenly. such as snow that has been trampled into ice. the coils are able to grip the ice well. If the ice is smooth and solid. such as a frozen puddle. then the coils have nothing to grip and I have to walk very carefully. Fortunately. I don't encounter smooth ice often. and when I do it's generally a few steps here and there. A redesign that would remedy this one caveat is to incorporate a few spikes that would easily dig in and grip the smooth ice.

I bought these traction cleats because I work at an ice rink and need to get across the ice quickly and safely. They are amazing! When I got these in the mail I thought there's was no way they were going to work. so I bought a different pair without ever trying these. I was going to send them back. but we were doing some painting and they got packed away somewhere and I forgot all about them. The other ones I bought were ok. but I had to shuffle across the ice and straighten them out under my shoes throughout the day. I came across these while cleaning. and thought I may as well give them a try. They are amazing!! I walked across that ice. even the wet ice. like I was walking down the sidewalk. No sense of slipping or sliding in the least. I didn't even feel them on my feet. I kept looking under my shoes to make sure they were still on there. I'm so sorry I didn't try them as soon as I got them and I wasted the money on the other ones. These stay put throughout the day and they work amazingly for getting across the ice quickly and safely. Only one thing I learned the hard way..... They're great on ice. but not hard floors. I tried them on at home walked into my kitchen and went sailing. Do not wear them on hard floors! On ice they're fantastic! I'll buy these again!

I have dogs. fosters. and owned a dog walking business for years. so I consider Yaktrax to be indispensable. In the DC area. we get more ice and slippery stuff than deep snowfalls. so I keep a pair in the car. another in the house. I've stayed safe through all kinds of storms. despite being pulled by various enthusiastic dogs. I prefer the "pro" model for the velcro strap across the top of the foot. It keeps it on securely. even if I slog through spots of deeper snow. and the visual makes it easy to ensure that doing so didn't deprive me of one or both.

Just stretch the bungie rubber material around the soul of your boot or shoe. close the Velcro strap. and you are ready to go. My wife and I have been using these during the recent period of heavy snows and 0 degree temperatures. We have been walking primarily on asphalt or concrete paths. I find my footing has improved on loose snow. packed snow. and even ice. I can't ignore the ice but it is much less slippery. We are around 60. and my wife has gotten pretty slow and careful walking on snow and ice. On the very first try. I saw her confidence improve noticeably. On stretches where the walk is clear of ice and snow. walking with the Yaktrax did not feel odd or uncomfortable. We both immediately rated our experience as an "unquestioned two thumbs up".

I only need them a few days a year but on those days - whether for getting around on an icy parking lot or a frozen lake. they make all the difference in the world! Their lightweight construction has its benefits. but also liabilities. The coiled springs that provides the traction also provide a cushy walk. not necessarily a silent one. and are fine on dry pavement or concrete. but not on indoor surfaces. The rubber frame is assisted in staying on by a single strap with velcro - which is quite effective for normal use. Neither the frame nor the springs would stand up to jogging. The life of this product is probably no more than five years under normal use as either frame or springs will eventually fail. I'm on my third pair.
