I installed 2 of these Scotty Anchor Locks on my 14 foot Lowe jon boat (one in the front and one in the back). They are GREAT. I can easily operate both from my seat by the motor. They were easy to install. They are easy to adjust at whatever angle you want and can be easily removed to accommodate the boat cover. I've had other, more expensive, anchor pulleys, but none as efficient as these Scottys!!

I used to have my anchor and rope sitting around my feet inside my hull, which seemed like a dicey proposition if I ever flipped. Then I'd have to toss the anchor overboard and tie off the rope somewhere when I wanted to use it.Now, all I have to do is tug on my anchor line, lift it slightly and let my anchor fall to the bottom. Wish I'd bought this years ago. I've had zero issues using this with a 2.5 lb. anchor. Really easy to install.

This is easy and quick to install and remove from my kayak with the line and anchor all connected. Great simple invention mounts on a gear track and can change angles. Deploy the anchor with one hand by raising the line and just allowing the rope to slide through the anchor lock. Anchor retrieval is almost as easy. Using two hands raise the line up and pull it in. Just have a line management system to keep the line un- fouled and your deck clear and your good to go.

I put this on my 2020 Hobie Outback fishing kayak and have been using it every time since set up pretty much as the picture in the sales looks. I won't go out without it now. Our fishing in Sacramento Delta in the tides usually flowing in or out not much still time so I'm anchored really helps. I'm very happy with my purchase
