I got these handlebars to replace some rubber ones that were on the bike previously. When installing I had to make sure to loosen the screw all the way, I put the tightening band with the screw on first before putting the handles on the bike. I had to gently tap it or wiggle them to get them on but if I try to put the tightening band on after putting the handles on I couldn't get all the parts to tighten or on correctly. When I first looked at the new handlebars they look like they would be a little harder to the touch/grip than I thought but after riding his bike with them a few times my son said they are soft enough and do not hurt his hands. And they look cool :)

I have ridden mostly road bikes that used handlebar wrap. so had not needed grips in a long time. I used these to replace the grips on my recumbent bike. The are without any doubt the best grips I've ever used or seen. Very well made and I love that they have the metal part at the top that tightens down on the bar so they won't slip down. That was a major problem with the original grips on my recumbent--always slipping down.

During the pandemic. my son and I would fox up bikes together and give them away to kids in the neighborhood. The one thing every bike we found needed replaced was grips. These are cheap. but solid. The lock style grip is our favorite. and these aren't as nice as some we've seen. but they are great little grips. For the price point. unbeatable!!
