    Works wonderfully for the occasional fisherman like myself. However, excessive retracting appears to impact the stability of the rod when extended. Lightweight rod, and the reel does the job.

    Quickly became my favorite pole last week it was easy to use and worked better than my other old ones. Also performed well when I caught a big pike, and the line didn't snap.

    I've been using this product for about 30 days and have found it to be user-friendly and reliable. Both the carrying case and packaging are excellent, and the quality is exceptionally high given the price. I've been quite successful in hooking fish with the provided lures.

    A quite decent beginner's rod. Comes with basic gear, but you'll need to purchase weights and a better line if you're fishing in the ocean. The only issue is that the rod reel tends to spin itself if not held with your hand, leading to the line dragging out even when the bail is set.

    Very nice, and my husband really likes it. The only drawback is that it's a bit tricky to put together and lacks directions on how to assemble. Additionally, the case it comes in becomes useless once the fishing pole is assembled unless you're willing to disassemble and reassemble every time you want to go fishing.

    Perfect setup for kayak trips. Easy to set up, excellent casting ability, smooth reel, and the lures are fantastic. Caught a 25-inch Northern Pike on the first trip, and it handled it exceptionally well. Extremely pleased with this purchase.

    Too lengthy, lures are cheap, and the reel doesn't lock resulting in tangled lines. Decided to toss it. Sorry, just sharing my honest feelings.

    Loved it! Everything you need for your next fishing trip is in this kit, and putting it away is a breeze. If you think telescopic fishing rods are weak, think again! Casting with 2oz of weight is not an issue. And Magreel has an AWESOME customer service too!

    As pictured and as promised. Super easy to extend and use. As noted by other reviewers, it would be great if the pre-molded foam could accommodate the reel being attached to the rod, as that's the part that gets tightened down (and so seems likely to jam or bend).
